Assist in Identifying Community Needs

  1. Review planning documents to identify community development needs previously established;
  2. Interview officials and engineers to obtain latest assessment of community development needs;
  3. Establish priority of needs and recommend project activities for consideration.

Application Preparation

  1. Work with City/County officials and engineer to obtain required costs estimates, maps and documents needed to establish need for proposed project;
  2. Provide technical assistance to assist in conducting a survey to determine low/moderate income benefits;
  3. Determine indirect benefits of proposed project;
  4. Conduct a public hearing for citizen input in planning process;
  5. Complete the application in accordance with the agency requirements;
  6. Present resolution of submission for consideration.

Application Submission

  1. Prepare required number of applications and submit copies to the agency accepting application; federal, state, local city/county or tribal council.
  2. Address the agency's review memorandum;
  3. Review scoring factors.

Application Presentation

  1. Prepare a presentation for any Review Committee; the Executive Committee and/or the Regional Review Committee;
  2. Conduct presentation preparation session with Tribal/City/County official making presentation to the Regional Committee(s);
  3. Prepare hand-out material for the Regional Review Committee pertaining to the project and local effort;
  4. Attend Regional Committee meetings to assist in presentation.
