Mr. Moore leads the strategic consulting, planning and execution of Aventa Communications Programs and serves as the primary Media and Issues Management Liaison for client consultation.

Professional Experience

Mr. Moore has a diverse background in media relations, public affairs, media training, marketing communications and journalism. As the former general manager of Burson-Marsteller's Austin office, Mr. Moore has acted as spokesperson for a number of corporations.

In addition to managing an office of eight public relations professionals, he was also the lead strategist and consultant for Sulzer Orthopedics global implant recall as well as heading up marketing and PR efforts and assembling client teams for tech companies such as Hire.com, BusinessThreads, and a coalition of Austin business executives promoting light rail. Mr. Moore also acted as supervisor and a senior counsel on the $36 million Public Utility Commission's deregulation awareness campaign. Having opened the Austin office of B-M, Mr. Moore quickly made it into a significant revenue source for the international public relations and public affairs agency.

His 25+ years in journalism and media relations have been a key asset in developing successful media strategy programs for a variety of clients. Mr. Moore is an Emmy award-winning news correspondent whose work has covered numerous issues from energy to technology and politics. His on-air work as a correspondent appeared frequently on CNN, CBS, and NBC. He has reported and traveled extensively on every Presidential campaign since 1976. As a communications consultant, Mr. Moore helped found a statewide television network in Texas and also served as the network's correspondent on the Bush Presidential campaign. Mr. Moore has maintained his broad list of contacts and friendships acquired during his journalism career and the respect gained through his own professionalism has provided valuable media access to his client list.

Mr. Moore has a wide range of experience in media relations, crisis management, positioning and messaging, strategic counsel, public affairs, marcom plan creation and execution, budgeting, planning, and new business development. His clients have included: American Management Systems, Inc., S3 Matching Technologies, Bombardier, Landmark Construction, Fluor Daniel, Alsthom, Hire.com, Light Rail Coalition, Dell, HP, Pencomm, BusinessThreads, NetSpend, the Florida Overland Express, and Sulzer. He has also acted as corporate spokesperson for numerous businesses.

Mr. Moore is also an accomplished author. His economic and political analyses have appeared in the Boston Globe, L.A. Times, Dallas Morning News, Chicago Tribune, Guardian of London, London Independent, Sydney, Australia Herald, El Diario Mexico City and dozens of other publications in the U.S. and internationally. He is also the writer and producer of several successful documentary films.

Mr. Moore speaks frequently on college campuses and for various organizations on matters including media, politics, and public relations, and has addressed audiences across the United States and all the way to Norway and London.
