Eduardo A. Martinez
Managing Director, Aventa Group, LLC

Mr. Martinez is chiefly responsible for client development with a primary emphasis on Strategic Business Development Services and Marketing. Mr. Martinez is also the primary Governmental Affairs Liaison for client consultation.

Among Mr. Martinez's current client references are Joe E. Roberts Revenue Services, Accenture, and Piper Jaffray Securities.

Professional Experience

Mr. Martinez brings a strong background in marketing, local government assistance, and economic development skills to Aventa Group having been involved in governmental and political life for more than 20 years.

Prior to joining Aventa Group, Mr. Martinez was Vice President for Business Development for Landmark Organization, a national leader in public-private development projects. During his tenure, Mr. Martinez contributed to the successful development of several successful hospitality projects including the recently completed Hilton Austin Convention Hotel Project, the Hilton Omaha Convention Hotel, and three military guest hotels for the United States Army. In addition, Mr. Martinez successfully marketed and contracted a half billion dollars of correctional and detention projects for federal, state and county governments across the country, as well as school construction projects of all levels for independent school districts.

Prior to joining Landmark in 1997, Mr. Martinez was the Texas Business Director for the Kenetech Corporation, an international utility service and consulting company. Kenetech developed and built the first major wind powered energy generation plant in Texas. Before that, Mr. Martinez served as a consultant to Governor Ann Richards and the Texas Governor's Office. During his tenure with the Governor's Office, Mr. Martinez successfully marketed and developed several energy efficiency and water conservation projects for the retrofitting of public buildings and other facilities to conserve electricity, fuels and water.

Also during this period, Mr. Martinez also served as a consultant to the Texas Air Control Board, performing research for the Ombudsman's Small Business Assistance Program on how to support small businesses adversely affected by Federal Clean Air Amendments, as well as interfacing with several state utilities, electric cooperatives and energy-related associations.

Lastly, Mr. Martinez has been involved in numerous statewide political campaigns and initiatives, working with diverse groups such as the Hollywood Political Women's Caucus as well as Ted Danson's American Oceans Campaign. Mr. Martinez also worked for the Campaign '88 U.S. Presidential Campaign where he functioned as a field specialist and event manager.
